About the Role
Apply as volunteer for Dr. Robert Dyckerhoff Stiftung and make a real impact on the lives of underprivileged children in beautiful Thailand. Our organization provides care, support, and education to underprivileged young people aged 14-19, living in our two dormitories on the school grounds of a secondary and vocational school in Mae Sariang, North Thailand. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with these amazing young people, building the skills they need to succeed in life while experiencing the beauty of Thailand.
We are looking for passionate volunteers older than 21 who have a strong command of English and a drive to make a positive impact on the world. By volunteering with us, you will play a crucial role in helping these children achieve their full potential, forming personal connections with them, and leaving a lasting impact on their lives.
We understand that volunteering abroad can be challenging, but rest assured that we provide a supportive environment for our volunteers. Our team is here to help you adjust to the culture and navigate your volunteer experience, so you can make the most of this life-changing opportunity.
We require a minimum commitment of two months, as we believe this is the minimum amount of time needed to make a real impact. However, longer stays of three or six months are available, allowing you to develop higher impact on the progress of the children and the foundation.
The preferable time for your stay would be between October 2023 and February 2024. During your stay, we offer free accommodation in a shared flat with other volunteers, located close to the dormitories where the children live. We also provide airport pick-up and English-speaking support on-site to ensure your experience is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Volunteering with us offers a range of benefits, including gaining international experience, developing new skills, making new connections, and enhancing your resume. The North of Thailand is a welcoming and authentic part of the country, far away from the crowded touristic hotspots of Bangkok or Phuket. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a new culture, learn new perspectives, and form lasting connections with people from all walks of life.
When you join our organization, you become part of a community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a difference. Our network of former volunteers is always eager to welcome new members, sharing their experiences and providing valuable information to help you prepare for your stay with us.
Volunteering with us is a life-changing and rewarding experience that will leave you with memories that last a lifetime. Apply now to become a volunteer and help us provide care, support, and education to underprivileged children in Thailand. Come and discover the beauty of rural Thailand while making a real difference in the world!
